Document Cameras in Classrooms

At Rogers, every classroom is equipped with an LCD projector, a document camera and speakers. 
The teachers use the document camera as a teaching tool 
while the students use it as a learning tool.

"Wordle" Creations in Grade 3

The students in Mrs. P. Ross's grade 3 class created WORDLEs about the planets they are studying. Each student selected a planet and then selected key words related to the planet. The words were then arranged into Word Art!

Students Teaching Students

Ms. Glen's grade one class teaches Mrs. Shortt's kindergarten class some basic computer usage skills. Each student had a buddy to teach. They showed and shared. Mentorship works at any age!

Using the LCD Projector in the Classroom

Mrs. Gauk has been using the LCD projector in her grade two classroom to demonstrate learning from the World Wide Web to students. It's a powerful learning tool in the classroom.

Technology Committee at Rogers

Our Technology Committee is presently reviewing some technology plans from other schools and will be ready to create a Technology Plan for Rogers for the 2011/2012 school year.
